If you are looking for some unique and fantastic sand sculptures check out the Hampton Sand Sculpting Classic at Hampton Beach in New Hampshire! They had some amazing larger than life sculptures that will make you wonder how they created them! The details were so impressive!

If you missed this year’s event there’s no need to worry as it’s an annual event. This year was the 20th Anniversary! The dates for next year were just posted as June 17-19 on their Facebook page. This year’s dates were delayed but they still managed to pull off a spectacular event. Parking is easily found as there were many lots offering parking for $5/day, bring cash for parking.

This year’s theme was the the Enchanted Land in the Sand, and all the artists rose to the occasion! From sea creatures to mythical creations these designs were so impressive! I couldn’t help but love the ogre with his sand castle!

All the sand sculptures are in a fenced off area right off the beach and main street/boardwalk area. You are able to admire both sides if desired. The front sides from the sidewalk of the main street and the back by walking along the fence on the sand. I was quite impressed at how huge some of the sculptures were! I’d love to go watch next year while they are building them. And the amount to detail was so impressive!

We checked out all the sculptures and then discussed our favorites while walking along the street and shops. There are quite a few shops and restaurants in the area. We also seen a ton of families making a day of it and hanging out on the beach for the day as well. A great way to get out of the house and spend a few hours or all day!

Know Before You Go

What: Hampton Sand Sculpting Classic in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire. It’s over for this year but will run June 17-19 of 2021.

How To Get There: It’s located approx. 50 minutes from Hanscom AFB.

Parking: There is metered parking along the street but during the festival they block this parking off. We went the week after while the sculptures were still up and the parking was available again. There were also tons of parking lots for $5/day.

Cost: The sand sculptures are free to view.

Extra info: Lots of dogs were out and about on leashes. Also public restrooms were available as well.
