We recently stayed at In het Fruit B&B in Zuidoostbeemster, Netherlands. It’s a neat little family Bed & Breakfast close to Zaanse Schans, Amsterdam, Haarlem, & Clara Maria’s. It’s worth checking out if your looking for some where to stay in the area, you can read my TripAdvisor review HERE as well.
Another great thing about booking In het Fruit was that I was able to use Booking.com AND Ebates in order to get X% back on our stay! If your not familiar with Ebates you can find out more HERE and sign up for free and get $10 for making your first purchase! I just got $72 back from shopping with them! As you may know we are budget travelers so I was excited to find a B&B because it included free breakfast. We paid €180/$190 for 2 nights with free breakfast for a family of 4. (2 adults, 14 & 11).
The owner is great and very friendly. He provided us with a map for the local city and helped with directions to the walkplatz for food, which was only a 4 minute drive from the B&B. It’s also only 15 mins from Zaanse Schans and 18 mins from the P+R for Amsterdam.
The room had a king sized bed, which was very comfy!
A small kitchen area.
The 2nd room had bunk beds.
And the bathroom had hot water, a perk after our Barcelona experience!
Outside there was an orchard which I’m sure is pretty in season as well as some chickens and a trampoline.
This is also a campground area if your into camping also.
The breakfast spread was delicious and the best part was the amazing jam made from the orchard, it was so yummy and the highlight of our stay!
The spread was great and even our picky eater was happy and full each morning. The warm croissants with the homemade jam were amazing, I’d go back just for that! 😉
So if your in the area looking for a place to stay with your family I’d recommend checking out this B&B and don’t forget to try the jam! We are huge fans of staying in apartments and B&B’s to keep costs lower on our trips.
Have you tried staying at a B&B’s as a family? Would you recommend it?

Wow, totally amazing! i’ve stayed at a B+B but only with my husband. Haven’t taken my son yet because we aren’t sure how he would do there.

Europe is very family friendly when traveling! We normally stay in apartments or B&B’s because they are much cheaper than hotels for a family.

I’d just booked the same property lastnight in the same room from booking.com. I will also travelling with my wife and 2 girls from Cologne. Is there anything we should not miss along the way? Initially we were going to stay in Volendam, but had been told that the town will be crowded with tourist.
Mrs B says
We stopped at Zaanse Schans on the way, it’s a neat windmill village that is close.
Nat says
We will certainly stop by that place.
Thanks for the reply.
