Ferjulian’s Farm is a local farm with lots of offer! During the summer they even offer a pick your own flower experience! I highly recommend trying this out. It’s a great way to spend the day out in some beautiful fields of flowers. And you get to bring some of the amazing flowers home to enjoy!
In addition to the pick your own flower experience in the summer months they offer other things as well. They have a farm stand that sells delicious local produce. During the fall months they set up a pumpkin patch. Looks like a great place to get some cute pics of the kids with pumpkins! They are open daily from April to Dec.
We recently went and tried out the pick your own flower experience. For $10 you get a mason jar with water and get to wander the colorful fields of flowers choosing which ones to cut and add to your jar. While they do have scissors you can use we just took our own which is acceptable as well. They do warn you about the air guns that fire routinely to scare away the birds. Despite this warning we still jumped the first time because it is LOUD! After the first time it’s not as bad, LOL!
We enjoyed going up each row of flowers and checking the color, style, and smell. The marigolds smelt so amazing, probably because I grew up picking them at my grandma’s house. You may also want to to bring gloves as you do have to reach in at some places and if you have sensitive skin it could get irritated.
After picking we stopped by the shop to buy some local produce. The peaches were delicious and so was the corn. They offer all kinds of produce as well as some local goods like honey and baked items.
Ferjulian’s farm has a lot to offer and is a great way to get out of the house for a bit. Check their website or Facebook page to see what they have going on for the season to help plan your visit. And if you missed the Pick Your Own Flowers this year, add it to your list for for next summer!
