Friday we left on a mini-vacation with Mr. B’s family to Cass, WV. We stayed the night in Marlinton, WV ate breakfast at French’s Diner (a place where Mr. B and his family have ate at for years) and then headed to Cass Scenic Railroad State Park for a ride on the train. We had a great time and I took lots of pictures, as usual 😉 The scenery was beautiful with all the fall colors. So here they [Read more…]
Animal Fun
While visiting at my mom’s house the kids had a blast feeding and playing with all the animals. There were goats, ducks, geese, turkeys, chickens, dogs, and baby kittens! They had a great time with all the animals. Here are some pictures from the visit.

Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, Va
We decided that if we were going to be in VA picking up the car we might as well take advantage of the Hero’s Salute and visit Busch Gardens for free! If you are active duty 4 members of your family can get into Busch Gardens (or other Anheuser-Busch parks) free one time. We knew we’d have to pay for one ticket because there are 5 of us. So we were extremely surprised when the lady at the counter [Read more…]
Prime Outlets in Williamsburg, VA
This past Saturday we headed to the Prime Outlets in Williamsburg, Va, a day of shopping that Mr. B had to schedule in just for me 🙂 If you hadn’t been to the states in 3 years you might’ve needed it too, LOL!
Our first stop (well at least mine and Bea’s) was to Hanna Andersson, I even made Mr. B park near it. The guys headed to Sketchers. I’ve never been to an actual brick and mortar Hanna Store [Read more…]
Arriving in West Virginia!
We left Williamsburg, VA (I’ll post about our time there tomorrow) and after a 6 hour drive we arrived to Mr. B’s hometown in WV! We’re glad to be here and visiting with family, not looking forward to the upcoming hour drive to AL here in a week.
One of the most interesting things we found out about Misawa, Japan when we got the assignment is that it’s considered the West Virginia of Japan.

Virginia Beach, VA
King Neptune
We went down to the Virgina Beach beach today to see the larger than life statue of King Neptune. It was a neat site and the kids had fun playing on the beach, it was a bit chilly and windy, so not swimming weather.
For those of us who need a Greek refresher, King Neptune (or Poseidon) is known as the King of the Sea and is known for his 3 pronged trident. Bea thought he looked like King Triton, Ariel’s [Read more…]
Leaving Idaho
We’re leaving Idaho early this morning, headed for Virgina. We’re excited to pick up our Tahoe and finally have our truck back. We’ll be visiting with Mr. B’s aunt in VA as well as hitting Busch Gardens and the shopping outlets, so keep posted for pictures.

McCall, Idaho
We took a little day trip to McCall, Idaho the other day. We stayed the night at the Holiday Inn Hunters Lodge there.
We ate at our favorite resturants Lardo’s and the Pancake House, it was yummy!
