Recently we had to take a trip to Trier to run some errands and of course we couldn’t do so without checking out a cafe in the area. I check our trusty ole Panther Paws and found Cafe Weimer, so we decided to give it a try.
Their address is Grabenstrasse 4-6, I think we used 4 for the GPS. Since it’s a walkplatz you’ll need to use a parking garage or find parking to visit the cafe. To find it we had to use the GPS on hubby’s phone because the directions in the book were based on coming from a different direction. If you know where the ADAC store is you go left to the main walkpaltz and then take a right, it’ll be down on the left hand side on the 2nd floor, so look up to find their sign (yellow sign in the first pic).
They had a tasty assortments of dessert to try! There were several pastries on display to try, we got 3 pastries, 2 hot chocolates, and 1 water for 15,10€. Bea tried the carrot cake, Mr. B had some sort of pastry, and I had a cherry cobbler like treat that was delicious!! Bea didn’t like her carrot cake but Mr. B & I thought it was tasty.
Note they only accept Euro (€) so make sure to have some on you. The staff was great and it was a nice little cozy place to get a treat in the walkplatz. They also spoke English well.
Next time your in Trier you can stop by and grab a tasty treat!
Your experiences as a traveler are as good as any guide book. I’ll never visit Germany, but I know your posts will be helpful to so many others. As an aside, could you comment on what you’re hearing regarding the Ukraine/Russia situation? Just interested in how Germany is covering this. Going to see the #2 M. boy play baseball this afternoon. He’s a natural pitcher at 6’2″ and a strong arm.
