Charles Bridge in Prague, Czech Republic is a must see for those who are visiting. It’s best to visit it both during the day and at night as you get some great views of it lit up at night. The bridge which is lined with Czech Saints it crosses the Vltava river and connects Old Town and Little Quarter. It’s one of the best places to get some amazing views of Prague as well as the castle!
The statues along the bridge are quite large as you can see with the guy standing next to the wall.
You can pay a fee per person to climb the towers, there is one at either end. Although it’s only recommend if your there on a clear day. You don’t need to climb both, choose the one with the best lighting while your visiting. We skipped the tower climb because we had some fog while we visited.
The weather did tend to clear up later in the day so if it’s foggy in the morning wait and try later.
The bottom of this guys statue get’s rubbed so much it’s shiny!
I guess the dog is pretty popular 😉
And if your on the Little Quarter side you can make short detour and go see the Lennon Wall. It’s a very bright graffiti wall dedicated to John Lennon.
It came into creation in 1980 shortly after he was killed, it was painted over highly by the police until 1989. It’s a neat little stop if your in the area.

I’ve also heard if you can catch the bridge covered in new snow early one morning it looks magical, it did not snow while we were there so I didn’t get to check that out. We did enjoy visiting it without snow as well, and I’m sure it looks amazing in spring/summer too.
