We recently stopped overnight in Fayetteville, GA on our way to the Atlanta Airport. We were looking for somewhere to eat dinner and seen Chick-fil-A Truett’s Luau and decided to check it out. It’s an unusual Chick-fil-A that is Hawaiian themed with the decor, food, & ambiance.
When we entered we were greeted by a super friendly guy who asked if we had been there before. When we told him we hadn’t he happily explained the whole restaurant layout and menu to us.
The restaurant has several ordering options. You can either chose to use the Drive-Thru, Dining in experience where you are waited on & served, or the self-served/seating side where you can sit inside or outside. We chose the self-served option so we could sit outside near the waterfall.
The menu consisted of many of the normal Chick-fil-A items (which was great for our picky eaters) as well as several tropical items to try like Teriyaki chicken with jasmine rice with a pasta, calamari, and fish sandwiches.
Mr. B and I tried the Teriyaki chicken & jasmine rice. The chicken and rice was good but the pasta salad was different and OK. Also breakfast is served all day with the exception of biscuits, they had some yummy looking stuff on the breakfast menu too.
There was a good amount of outdoor seating as well as a faux waterfall.
The restaurant was clean and the employee’s were super friendly and helpful.
The dining area in the 2 above pictures is from the self-service side of the restaurant.
It was $43 for our family of 5, which is about normal for us.
After dinner we decided to get dessert, I mean we were on vacation so why not, right?!
Mr. B got a yummy pineapple smoothie, the kids normal shakes, and I went for the Pineapple macadamia nut shake, it was so good! They should have this at the regular Chick-fil-A’s!
They have this drum like thing too, the boys were not thrilled to see Mr. B out there playing it, but Bea went out to give it a try.
As we were walking out there was a guy playing a ukulele holding the door open for us. We stopped to inspect the neat Rickshaw they had sitting out front. The guy asked Mr. B if he wanted and ride and of course he said Yes! Bea jumped on with him and they were off! The driver was able to pick up some speed in the fairly empty parking lot and the boys and I were cracking up. I just had to get a video of it. The guy’s face is priceless, we’ve cracked up over it several times!
Overall it was a great experience and I’m glad we tried it out. It worked for our adventurous & non-adventurous eaters and was in a really fun atmosphere. A great way to get a bite to eat and hang out, especially after a long day!

This is so cool! I’m sad I didn’t know about it when we were living in GA.

It’s fairly new, maybe since the end of last year, so if your ever in GA again it can be added to your ‘to-see’ list 😉
