When I was planning desserts for this 4th of July, Boo requested a Jello dessert, so I decided to try one out. I went and searched Pinterest and and internet and used this pin for vision and this recipe.
I thought this recipe was going to be a pain to make but was surprised by how easy it really was! Yes, it was a bit time consuming but I was able to complete the first 3 layers the same day and could’ve easily done the 4th if I felt like it, but I didn’t LOL.
1st layer with berry blue jello and blueberries, in fridge for 2 hours
2nd layer with cream, unflavored gelatin, sour cream, ect. I didn’t really like this layer but one of my friend’s said it was the best layer.
2 hours later, ready to add 3rd layer
Strawberry jello & strawberries, left overnight after this layer
The final layer of Cool Whip was super easy, the hardest part was dealing with my ‘issues’ trying to get it all level and keep the glass wiped off and clean, LOL!
Added some sliced strawberries & blueberries for garnish!
Finished product! Mr. B was cracking up at my food photo shoot 😉 I think it went nicely with my DIY American flag. I thought the dessert was good but it didn’t knock my socks off or anything. I think next time I may just do the blue & red layer and then the cool whip top layer. It’s great to use for a holiday or color themed party for sure.

This dessert is so cute! And I’m just like you – I get so worked up about a little extra whipped cream being on the clear glass part because it messes up the presentation, ha! So glad you linked up with Jess and I!
