Another busy month here in Germany for festivals! I’m excited to share September festivals around Spangdahlem with you! We had a great time checking out the August Festivals. There are actually quite a few more festivals this month too! Again these are generally no more than 3 hours away, although I may throw in one or two further away ones if I think that they are something to consider.
There are festivals for everyone! From riding in tanks, jousting tournaments, to wine tasting galore! There has got to be one that you will find interesting and want to check out!
I’ve also included a printable file at the bottom so that you can print it out and easily see what festivals are available. Some of the festivals are this weekend so if you don’t get to them this year you can always add them to your list for next year. I’ll also be blogging about the ones that we get to visit so check back and see if they are worth taking a trip to.
Below is a list of upcoming festivals, please note many of the websites are in Germany only so use Google Chrome and it will translate the page for you. It will include the festival, website, dates, and how far from Spangdahlem. Please note these are just some of the bigger festivals it seems like every town has a banner up right now advertising some sort of festival. I’d be here all year if tried to list them for each village.

These look like so much fun – I can’t wait to get there! Are you planning on going to Oktoberfest?!
Mrs B says
No we are not planning on going to Oktoberfest this year, maybe next year but truthfully it’s not one of the festivals that I ‘have’ to do while we are here 😉
Crystal says
Are the dates correct for Bad Meunster? I was under the impression it was 19-21st? Just wanted to double check.
Mrs B says
Good catch! I went back and double checked and fixed the dates! Thanks for mentioning it 🙂
