I know I slacked and my post did not go up on time today, better late than never right?
I’ve been staying so busy! We’ve been in the house 3.5 week and are about 90% done getting unpacked & settled. Everything is unpacked but there is still stuff we need to find spots for to put away. My craft room & studio is a HOT MESS and I’m trying to avoid it, LOL! I have a friend coming next week to make me get it organized. We have 5 rooms left that need to be ‘done’ so I can take pics and post…anyone want to come over and MAKE me get them done?! 😉
I’ve also been busy meeting up with people. For the past 4 months I’ve been meeting with 2 friends each week for breakfast. I’ve also been meeting other people for coffee here & there, attending squadron get togethers, and organizing a Crafter’s meet up. That was so much fun! We’re hoping to have monthly ‘project parties.’ We also have an awesome ‘Opa & Oma’ who live next door to us who we are getting to know.
The most amazing thing about moving here is that I’ve met more people and have made more friends in the last 4 months than I did in the past 5 years in Alabama. Don’t get me wrong I have some awesome friends here in AL, but being overseas with no family around cause for a much more close knit community that Stateside living. Plus the internet is pretty awesome and with Facebook and all the local groups its so easy to get connected and get out there…if you can make yourself, which luckily I have been doing.
I have been working on a few projects…gasp I know because I feel bad ‘playing’ before everything is put away, but a girl needs a break every now and then! I’m also working on a few ‘must do’ furniture pieces for the house as well, pics to come later. I have a long ‘to-do’ list of projects and an even longer list of ideas floating around in my head.
The Yeti has been coming in really handy as we’ve been picking up furniture like it’s going out of style! 😉 The backseats have been down all week! I picked up a free coffee table today and we’re picking up some tables tonight. We have a ‘furniture’ corner in our garage with stuff I need to work on refinishing, yippee!
I’ve also been creating custom invites, which I really enjoy and it helps me to be creative even if I don’t feel like it, LOL! I just did these super cute Bachelorette ones with a golf theme, love them!
The weather is getting nice, I need to go take Boo’s Senior pics, time is running out! We also have some more day trips planned soon AND are heading to Paris soon! Stay tuned for some vicarious traveling :p
