Zip Guam is a fun zip line experience located in Tumon at the Hilton hotel. While zipping from the 25-30 ft towers you’ll get amazing views of the area. No experience needed as you’ll be partnered up with highly trained staff who will guide you through the experience. Even for those who may be wary of heights (aka Mr. B) we found that it’s really not intimating or scary at all!
We were excited to check out a complimentary zip line experience from Zip Guam to soar through the skies here in Guam and take in the amazing scenery. We chose a morning visit to hopefully avoid the midday heat but it was still pretty warm and humid out. Thankfully the breeze as you zip through the course helps to keep you cool. Our favorite part was the 2nd half of the course that takes you through the jungle and provides the stunning aerial views of the Tumon area.
Bring sunscreen, sunglasses if you’d like – we wore ours, and camera/phone as they let you take photos. They have water for you after your done back in the office. Wear comfy clothes that you don’t mind getting sweaty and will be comfy with a harness. Closed toe shoes are recommended but they allow strap on sandals as well. And if you have long hair bring something to tie it back, you will be wearing a helmet also.
Parking is in the Hilton hotel parking lot, which is quite large. As always it’s not recommend to leave an valuables in your vehicle and small lockers is provided if you need one.
You start off checking in at the office. They will have you watch a short information video and sign a consent form. Then they will get you set up with your gear: harness, helmet, & gloves. You’ll be paired up with trained guides to take you through the course.
There are also free small lockers to you use if you have stuff you don’t want to take out on the course.
Then you head out to the course, it’s broken up into two areas. The first area is in front of the hotel over a grassy area. The stands are 25-30 feet high, so not super high. This part of the course is less scenic than the back course but can be a great starter area for those who are more timid of heights. After zipping off the first tower Mr. B was good for the rest of the course.
You do have to walk up some stairs to get up to the starting tower and then again down them at the end, you do this on 2 courses so there are 4 flights of spiral stairs. These are fairly easy, I did them with sore legs from squats so it was a bit more intense, LOL!
The second half of the course which is through the jungle, and towards the back of the hotel and the Tumon area, was my favorite part! The views are amazing from these towers and lines.
It was also fun zipping through the trees!
The guides were great about allowing us time to take photos/videos and even talking a pic of us with the beautiful Tumon bay background.
Once you get back to the office they have a water cooler with cold water & take your gear. The staff was super friendly and our guides were amazing!
The experience can take up to an hour depending on your group size, but for just my hubby and I we were done with the video/training and zip lining in 35 minutes. While we had fun I do wish the course was a bit longer but I’m just glad we have a zip line here in Guam! I’d rate this course as Easy and it’s family friendly for that reason.
Hope you get the chance to get out there and check out Zip Guam and zip through the skies! If you have the PHR pass you can even make it a day and stay and hang out at the pool!
