I scored super cheap tickets to Barcelona, Spain for our family of 4 in January over President’s weekend, it was $120 for all 4 of us round trip! We recently traveled to Barcelona, in January 2015, so I wanted to share the information I found for how to plan a family trip to Barcelona, Spain on a budget, and in our case for under $1000! We stayed 3 nights, 2 of the nights we stayed in Barcelona and checked it out over 1.5 days and spent a day & night in Girona. After a busy Day 1 and sleeping hard we were ready to start Day 2 early. The great part about Rome is that there is so much to see and do that you can easily pick and choose what works best for your family. We are not museum people in general so the only museum we visited was the Vatican Museum.

It’s been awhile since we have flown RyanAir (since 2004!) and I see many questions all the time asking what is it like flying RyanAir so hopefully this post will help. I do have to say that there have been some positive changes since we last flew with them many years ago. Yes, there still are some quirks but for what you pay for the flights I think it’s manageable.
