While traveling in Europe we have found that it is often cheaper staying in an apartment instead of a hotel! We decided on a recent day trip to stop by Darmstadt, Germany. I really couldn’t find a whole lot about it in the ‘tourist’ books but did managed to find a few things online to go check out. It’s probably not a really ‘touristy’ town but we were in the area visiting Burg Frankenstein so we decided to check it out.

Burg Frankenstein is located near Darmstadt, Germany and when I found out that we’d be within 30 minutes if it while we were in Wiesbaden I knew we had to check it out. Recently we had to take a trip to Trier to run some errands and of course we couldn’t do so without checking out a cafe in the area. I check our trusty ole Panther Paws and found Cafe Weimer, so we decided to give it a try.

Widenhof Palace – Moving out! If you remember we moved into the Wiedenhof Place in Speicher back in December of 2013. Now 3 months later we have finally moved out and into our ‘German’ home for the next 3 years. I said that I’d update about moving out and what our stay was like so I’m going to do just that 🙂
