This past week we took a mini-vacation to Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge, TN. It was our first time to the area and I’ll be posting about our trip spread out over the next 2 weeks. We’ve been told that we HAD to eat at Chris’ Hot Dogs, it’s supposedly a must-do for those coming through Montgomery, AL. It originally opened in 1917 and is still open today! With that being said it’s one of those hole in the wall or Mom & Pop places so don’t expect anything fancy.

The Visitor’s Center in downtown Montgomery, AL is located in Union Station, the old train station. It is very close to the Riverwalk entrance.

Since we are moving to Italy this summer I have been doing some research and found that we would need to get an International Driver’s license (IDL) or as AAA calls it a International Driver’s Permit. While we don’t need it to drive in Italy, the AFI will cover us in Italy, but to drive outside of Italy we need it, and we plan on driving outside of Italy. On Friday I had the opportunity to do a photo shoot with a friend and her sweet girls. She’s 34 weeks pregnant and her husband just deployed 3 weeks ago. He won’t be home until the baby is 4-5 months old. We were lucky enough to live in Keflavik, Iceland from Sept. 2003 to Sept. 2005, it was an AMAZING experience!
